Hailstorm

I'm back in KLCC for a while today. I got a call from Bank X yesterday and they wanted to expand our scope of the proposal so I got to head back for some meetings internally and a vendor. The call came as a nice surprise. Hopefully it means we stand a better chance at winning this.

I called the vendor whom Bank X asked us to contact. This vendor is a local distributor of an Identity and Access Mgmt solution. Here's the conversation

Me: "Hallo, i'm calling because... blah blah'
Vendor: "Ah... I expekting your call. Bank X oso ask me to call u"
Me: "Can we sit down and get an understanding of your technical solution?"
Vendor: "Achelly, we got no tecknikel peepel wan. Next month, I sending my one teknical staff to US for trenning"
Me: "Wow.. with no technical person, how the hell did u manage to present to Bank X?"
Vendor "ah.. we use our US partner lor.. we ask dem to confelence call with Bank X. Next week we got one POC we kena do. So the US person carming"
Me: "But surely after spending so long with the bank, you must know something"
Vendor "Libbit we know lor. If u wan, we show u all what we show bank X lah."

Felt like I was talking to Phua Chu Kang.
